I was introduced to yoga in high school, and began practicing regularly in 2012. Over that time yoga became not just a way to exercise, but a space and time to connect with myself and the yoga community.
In 2017 I made the leap to take the 200-hour yoga teacher training offered by Elevate Yoga and taught by Nigel Walker. This seven month journey was a whirlwind of change and growth, and I could not be more thankful for the opportunity.
I firmly believe that yoga is for everyone and every body, no matter your shape, colour, size, gender, location, or physical ability. I aim to create a comfortable space and yoga practice that works for you and your body.
My yoga practice has been a sanctuary from stress, a way to build body confidence and body awareness, and it's one of the few places I feel completely comfortable "failing" (and falling flat on my face). It's a time to play, explore, and connect. If I can create a similar experience for just one other person, I'll have done my job as a teacher.
